Reminds me of the first album that got me into this genre of space rock at all, which is a happy memory and makes sense given this artist also helped create that album I am reminded of. It's the spirit of space rock kept alive.

I love hawkwind as well as most space rock from the past, so this is definitely a no-brainer when it comes to modern masterworks that bring back the "retro" sounding composition styles of hawkwind like this one does with grace. (Funny enough Nik was in Hawkwind too which is why I listened to this album the first time)

It is a great feeling for me to hear a band when they are fully in control of their music making abilities and yet never resting on their laurels and exploring new material to the max...electric orange do just that and it engenders an element of trust in the listener,I think...you feel safe in the knowledge that they can handle wherever they want to go and both consolidate and invent on the hoof. For me, this means they don't become predictable but stay fresh and open. These spacey improvisational jams evolve slowly but surely...enjoy the trip.
